Grade 7 - LAMBS - My name is Mattie Brown and this year I decided to show a Market Lamb. I received my lamb in June when he was about three months old. Since then I have been caring for him and training him every day. Raising my lamb has taught me many valuable things such as nutritional value patience and responsibility. When raising my lamb I would monitor his weight to keep him fit and looking good. If he was too thin I would decrease the protein and increase the fat in the feed. If he was heavy I would increase the protein and slowly cut back the amount of feed. When training my lamb he would often test my patience by rearing but with practice he is now able to walk and set up properly. Responsibility patience and nutritional value are all lessons my market lamb project has taught me.
