BIG TIME SHOW HEIFER, DON’T MISS! It is hard to put into words how thankful I am for this consignment to The Bayou Belles online sale. The Herzog’s approached me in the fall about wanting to let a few of their top heifers go every year now that Haley is at Texas A&M and Payton shows multiple breeds and is one of the premier steer showmen in the United States.
This family has a long history of putting cattle in the winner’s circle and I feel Miss CBR 557/4 represents everything the Herzog’s and Collins Brahman Ranch are known for. The 557/4 female is one of the highest quality show prospects that will sell anywhere this spring. This female is massive in her muscle pattern, bone and rib shape all while striking that unforgettable pose. As an added bonus she represents one of the most productive cow families to the progress Collins Brahman Ranch herd, I’m referencing the +Miss CBR 187/2 cow.
Let’s take a moment to focus on the powerful genetic makeup of this great female. She’s sired by the current leading herdsire at CBR, JDH Tesch Manso who is sired by JDH Ashton Manso and out of a top Madison 737 daughter. On the bottom side of the pedigree 557/4 is out of a top polled female bred by CBR and the Herzog’s. The polled 481/0 cow goes back to the polled bull Mr. V8 331/4 and +Miss CBR 187/2. Even though 557/4 is not polled she has a unique genetic combination, with the polled cattle becoming more and more popular this is an added value to a female that brings so much already to the table...
Again, I cannot thank the Herzog family enough for consigning a female that is surely to turn heads. She’s been in their showbarn and is ready to hit the show road, tomorrow!
The Herzog's reserve 1 IVF aspiration at the conclusion of the female's show career or after the first calf.
