Grade 12 - HOGS - As a senior I find myself nostalgic as I reflect over the past ten years of showing swine at the Robertson County Fair I will cherish every memory I have made. This year especially has taught me that life doesn’t always go as you plan nor prepare for, it has also taught me what is most important and that true character is defined in these moments. Winning is not what drives me to be the best showman I can be, at the end of the day the banners buckles, and ribbons will become faded and forgotten. I will not remember how I placed nor what I won at any show but I will remember and cherish the friends I’ve made and the life lessons I have learned throughout my showing career. Those memories will be with me always and that is why I show and what I will miss most.
