Many thanks to our extended family at La Muneca for inviting us to offer a lot in the Giving Thanks Sale. We have treasured and valued our relationship with the Guerra family for almost 40 years, and we are thankful to continue a blessed relationship with this great family. We are thankful for all the blessings that have been bestowed upon us in our years in the Simbrah business, and this year, we are reminded of the importance of Mothers in our lives and in the development of the next generation of leaders.
In October, we lost our beloved mother, Sharon Grahmann. Mom was devoted to her faith and family first, but she was also devoted to the youth of the area and state through her involvement in 4-H Youth Programs. From founding and managing 4-H Clubs to being the County Program Coordinator, our mom believed that 4-H was an unequalled vehicle for young people to gain leadership traits, communication traits, and work ethic by “Learning by Doing”. Her involvement in these programs spanned over 4 decades, and she touched as many lives as possible through her involvement in 4-H.
To honor our mother, our family has established an endowment through the Texas 4-H Foundation to support programs for youth in the area that our mother used to develop young lives into productive, caring adults. The proceeds from this sale will further enhance the programs that are offered to 4-H participants throughout the state of Texas.
6G Ranch is offering, 6G Ms. Delight K201 (ASA# 4099417), a bred ¾ x ¼ Simbrah female that is designed right for the times. Delight is sired by Mr. Ishee Chunk, a purebred Simmental herd sire, from Dr. Tim Ishee. She is backed by years of A.I. breeding and intense selection based on EPD’s and economic traits that run through the Ishee Simmental program. On the dam side, she goes back to our 5A324 cow, who has two replacement females in our herd currently. This female is a foundation female that goes back to the L2 cow that was a cornerstone female in our herd, and the L2 female traces all the way to back to our original herd of Simbrah. 5A324 is sired by the many times champion 6G LMC Red Rock, so the pedigree contains the likes of LMC HS Rocco and the incomparable, LMC WFC Ms. Dream Girl. Ms 6G Delight K201 sells safe in calf to 6G/LMC Ragin Cajun, who has proven to raise champions in and out of the showring. The 2nd generation ¾ x ¼ progeny should bring a new twist to some traditional genetics.
