Here’s a 901 daughter out of another one of the cows Sloan purchased from the Mangum-Gubert Division at J.D. Hudgins. The 901 daughters are some of the top females of the breed. This year alone, the 2013 International Champion Grey Brahman Female was a 901 daughter, the 2013 Reserve International Champion Grey Female was a 901 granddaughter, as well as Austin Gonzales’ powerhouse 901 daughter who won every junior show in Texas and the All American in 2012. The 901 daughters don’t miss. They produce uniform, consistently high quality calves year after year and are some of the fattest cows in the pasture. This cow has a beautiful underline and udder. We always say, you just can’t go wrong with a 901 calf. The 901 x 380 cross is also one of the best matings on the ranch at this time, just look at the calf at side of this year’s Houston champion.
