LMC Polled Alexo is a double polled son of LMC Poll Aussie, a super stout herd bull we own with our hill country friends, the Schneider’s. We bought Polled Alexo's maternal grand dam from our old buddy Randall Tipp at 14 years of age because of her near perfect udder. Her daughter also has a real good bag. She goes back to the Maternal Performance Sire (=) JDH Sir Alexo Manso. We sold La Reina Cattle Co. 1/2 interest in a maternal brother, LMC Polled Poseidon (see below) to this bull as their senior herd sire.
We like Polled Alexo's tight sheath, muscle shape and moderate frame score. All of the maternal power in his pedigree cannot be overstated and adds valuable predictability to this promising prospect. Polled Alexo has been raised and developed on grass. Being double polled gives him a chance of being homozygous polled. Regardless, Polled Alexo should produce his share of good looking polled calves during his career.
