J7N Charley has been a favorite when folks come to La Morra to look at cattle. Charley is stout enough and clean fronted but her biggest attributes are her big top and her big butt. J7N Charley’s dam is one of our outstanding BCC Boomerang daughters, J7N Trixi, which is one of the most feminine looking cows I have ever seen. Trixi has a super front end that’s as clean as a whistle, long bodied and a huge butt thus the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. Charley exhibits all of her dam’s qualities.
Charley’s sire is J7N Top Shelf, a ¾- Simbrah sired by TNT Top Gun and our premier donor cow, LMC Knockout Muneca 5M/9. Top Shelf has done a heck of a job for us and coincidently enough, his first daughter (J7N Dinela) sold in our inaugural Alamo City Sale in February. Dinela, which was also the youngest heifer to sale in that sale, is being campaigned successfully by Caleb Richardson. Dinela was Division Champion at this year’s Simbrah/Simmental Super Bowl and she has been breed champion at several prospect shows in Southeast Texas.
