Grade 7 - HOGS - My name is Madelyn McFadden I'm in the seventh grade and attend Franklin Middle School. One thing I have learned from Chief and my other pigs this year is that I have to set aside time to work with my animals. After I feed and do skin and hair on my pigs I walk them for 30 minutes and let them root for dirt. We feed them at night and clean their pens. That is our routine for the pigs. I wish that I could have shown my barrow at the county fair this year because I feel like he is a good barrow who could do well like my Duroc barrow I took to San Antonio this year that got First place and Grand Champion Lightweight. I have learned a lot since I have started showing Pigs four years ago and I plan to learn more in the future.
