I’d like to thank Carlos and his family for giving us the opportunity to consign this lot to the GenePLUS online sale. Again, we have consigned some of our very best cattle to this sale and believe this lot offers the very best the Simbravieh breed has to offer. The high bidder will have their choice between either a top-notch Simbravieh bull or heifer calf, backed by some of our very best genetics.
Mama always taught me that ladies go first, so we will start with KFLS Miss Briley. She is sired by our new Simbravieh herd sire, LMC LF Braveheart and is out of one of the best Simbravieh females I have ever laid my eyes on, LMC American Maiden. Braveheart goes back to the LMC EF JW Black bull that is a staple in the Simbrah breed and the Maiden cow is sired by the maternal minded Vista Foresight Braunvieh bull. Tristan Chapa has a maternal sister sired by LMC LF Goliath that played a key role in him winning the TJLA Simbravieh division title. American Maiden herself was a many times champion for my daughter Kallie and Mary Kate Walters. If I had to describe this heifer in one word, it would be complete. She is square-made, correct in her structure and is smooth throughout, especially in that front end which is critical. This female has a great pedigree, is among our very best this year and should make a solid investment at any price.
We stay excited throughout the year here at KF Livestock, but this bull calf has us even more excited about the future of the Simbravieh breed. KFLS Pale Rider is as exciting a calf as I have been apart of in my years in the cattle business. This blonde baldy is thick, has lots of eye appeal and a design that should improve this breed for years to come. He is a LMC LF Braveheart son out of a moderate TML Silverado cow that has a perfect udder and is among our elite cows in the herd. His maternal grand dam PRR Morning Star is another moderate cow with a great udder and is among the best red Simbrah cows of all time. Either way you study this pedigree, it is loaded with stout bulls and functional cows that are among the very best in the breed. This calf is sound, bred to be a stud and has looked the part his whole life. He makes this pick a tough choice, but you can’t go wrong, we believe both of these calves are the money making, front pasture kind of cattle.
Buyer has the option to double down on the high bid and buy both, KFLS Miss Briley B388 and KFLS Pale Rider B270.
