Femininity. Power. Performance. Perfection. These are all terms to describe Miss WCC Venus 83/4. “Venus” is one of the best red females ever produced at Watkins Cattle Company. She’s so good that she’s hard to part with and has become a family favorite. We think she has a bright future as both a competitive show heifer and donor prospect. If you are looking for a powerful spring born red heifer calf, pay special attention to Miss WCC Venus XYZ.

“Venus’s” flawless design comes to no surprise. The striking resemblance between “Venus” and her 2 year old full sister Miss WCC Gossip Girl 55/2 (pictured below) is outstanding. The “Gossip” heifer has been a many time champion for Payton Herzog , this team has dominated the TX junior show circuit in 2014. Like “Gossip,” Miss WCC Venus is a female that will quickly catch your eye.

“Venus” is extremely long bodied, big topped, bold sprung but extremely feminine about her shoulder, neck and head. When on the move “Venus” covers her track by taking a big, athletic stride. Her disposition has always been quiet and completely sweet, she’s just waiting to go into the show ring.

At Watkins Cattle Company, we cannot speak enough about “Venus’s” dam, TTT Ms Suva’s Vernon 335. She is the matriarch of our breeding program and has produced numerous “keeper” progeny for the ranch. Her frozen embryos are in high demand. Our good friend Luis Roberto Salinas Falcon of Mexico will have future progeny of TTT Ms Suva’s Vernon 335. The 335 cow is sired by the former international champion and producer of champions +MK Vernon 349/1. If you look on the bottom side of 335’s pedigree she is out of the famous Tic Tac Toe 961 cow who is sired by the +Mr. Fontenot 125.

The Sire, JDH San Antonio 881/4 bred by Mark Forgason of J.D. Hudgins Inc is a deep red +JDH Elmo Manso 309/4 son and out of a red colored +JDH Atlas Manso 328 daughter. This bull died at a very young age and very few progeny will ever be offered for sale, Miss WCC Venus is one of only 4 JDH San Antonio sired progeny we will sell.

The genetic combination of J.D. Hudgins genetics combined with an impressive red pedigree of TTT Ms Suva’s Vernon 335 is one we will not stray from at Watkins Cattle Company. We have multiple pregnancies confirmed for next year and Venus’ full sisters, “Serena” and “Blakely” sell as lots 9 and 10. We are excited about Venus’ promising future and we look forward to knowing her future owner, as this heifer has become a special favorite. The future buyer can take a female like “Venus” to outcross with today’s most popular red Brahman genetics for a complete out cross. “Venus” has been started on a show ration and daily show regiment.
