Here is a very easy fleshing female that has a totally straight-bred J.D. Hudgins pedigree, including Karu, Magnifico, Datapack, and more. Sloan purchased her dam, JDH Miss Jordan Manso, when he purchased all of Adrian Gubert’s herd as part of the JDH-Mangum-Gubert division several years ago. A few summers back, Sloan was running short on herd bulls and Bob Hudgins let us borrow this bull for the breeding season to breed to those JDH cows he bought from Adrian. JDH Ridings Manso 939/6 is a Magnifico son who is very thick and moderate framed. He was an excellent producer for us in the short time we used him and we kept 3 of his daughters in our herd. These females are what you would expect from a Hudgins bloodline, lots of beef, deep bodied, and excellent American Brahman breed character. She also has a very clean underline and small teats. The 380/6 bull on JDH cows has been a wonderful cross for us. The young 243/7 bull who was Grand Champion at San Antonio last year and Reserve Champion at last year’s Kick Off Classic is a 380/6 –JDH cross. This calf should be outstanding and valuable whether it’s a male or female.
