Pete Abrigo was a man of many talents, as hard working as they get and was taught that at an early age from his parents as they worked for several ranches from Victoria to Rachel, Texas south of Falfurrias north of Linn. It was in those years that he found his true love for agriculture. Pete excelled in school on his parent’s encouragement or as they put it, he would be fixing fence the rest of his life. Pete went on to college, married the love of his life Terri and later had two kids, Pedee who became an Ag teacher and Valery who became an educator as well. Pete took a job as an agriculture teacher which he did until his retirement which diabetes cut his life short but never broke his spirit.
Pete’s career was a very successful one in which he helped so many students achieve their goals as he taught every one of them how to work and at least a skill. One of the most impressive things Pete and his family did was rent his farm and cattle pens out to the school for $1.00 a year so all kids would have a place to house their animal projects. This went on until the school many years later built an ag farm which was named after him. Pete will be remembered as one of the best Ag teachers the valley ever had.
We are selling ten straws of LMC Polled Authority (with twenty (20) ABBA AI certificates at ABBA cost) who is the +LMC LF Ambassador 700/7 son that helped put England Cattle Company on the map. Both his daughters and sons have excelled for ECC and their clients in production and the show ring at all levels including the International Show in Houston where multiple daughters have been Division Champions.
