When we went out to buy our Braunvieh herd bulls we were thorough in getting our homework done in order to find the best bull we could to fit our budget. We found the Foresight bull at a Vista Bull Sale and were immediately impressed by his test numbers, EPD's, conformation, thickness and style. He went on to produce several great cattle for us, both champions in and out of the show ring. His daughters were among our top sellers and clients have reported satisfactory production records. Kallie Fuchs and Mary Kate Walters led a Foresight daughter named LMC American Maiden to numerous titles; she is now a top cow in the KF Livestock herd. Tristan Chapa has a Foresight granddaughter that played a key role in winning him the TCCA Simbravieh buckle this past season. Broken Oak Ranch has several daughters and the Foresight bull himself in their productive herd. He can be counted on to raise you good Braunvieh’s or Simbravieh’s as the list of Foresight success stories goes on and on. He’s one of the best bulls we have ever bought.
LMLF Pops was a full brother to the 2010 Reserve National Champion Braunvieh Female in Houston, LMLF In Focus. Their sire is the popular RTR Pappa Gene bull out of the great Revolucionaria that we really liked and used with success, as did several others. Pops’ dam BOR Focus is one of our most productive donors of all time and has worked with several different bulls. She was out of the great Phenomenon thus combining two of the all time great herd bull producing cows of all time. We gave $8,000 for Pops’ dam and had a $9,875 average value on her first four calves, which included the LMC LF Goliath Simbravieh bull that we own with the McCoy Family and the LMC Betty Boop champion Braunvieh female that we own with the Salyer/Martin Family. The Pops bull was a thick, long and stout individual that was sound and plenty soggy. Pops represents one of the best bloodlines that we produced in Braunvieh and he should produce you some thick, good-looking cattle. Owned with Pedernales Cattle Company.
Our partner and good friend Louie Flores and I went to the National Braunvieh Bull Sale in Manhattan, Kansas to look for a new herd bull. After plenty of evaluation of the bulls, MHF Manhattan landed on the top of our list. He excelled the offering in muscle, moderation and overall quality. He impressed us with his natural base width, stoutness and the fact that he remained plenty deep and sound. He is the widest based beef bull we have ever seen. Manhattan came out of the Mystic Hill operation in Virginia that is one of the most progressive Braunvieh operations in the U.S. Manhattan, like Foresight did us a phenomenal job raising the keeping kind of cattle that increased our consumer demand. Our clients have been satisfied with the function and performance of their Manhattan progeny. McKaylie Phillips led a gorgeous Manhattan Simbravieh heifer to Reserve Champion Commercial Female honors at her fair. Dean Fuchs has a Manhattan daughter working in his herd and sold a daughter out of this cow to Kaitlyn Davlin that she has done well with. We kept a son named LMC Man E Nuff whose first calves are hitting the ground and they look promising. Adrianna de los Santos was many times champion with another daughter out of a Meyer 734 cow and she is now at work in the Lonnie Tomerlin herd. Expect great results out of this stud. He is now owned by Justin Campbell.
LMC LF Goliath is out of the 2005 International Champion Simbrah Bull LMC RFI-Smith Red Bullet and our consistent Braunvieh donor Miss BOR Focus. This bull is as good-looking of a Simbravieh as we have ever produced. He is deep bodied, good footed and has produced some of our very best cattle. He does a great job of putting that championship look on his cattle and has produced several champions already. Liana Flores was Reserve Grand Champion Steer at the competitive STAR show here in Edinburg with a Goliath son. BETM Ranch bred a Simbravieh heifer that Holli Baker led to Reserve Champion Percentage Female honors at the Synergy Showcase among other titles. Tristan Chapa had a Goliath daughter that won several titles for him on his way to the TCCA Simbravieh buckle this past season. Goliath puts She Moves, Phenomenon and Power House together amongst other greats into an amazing pedigree. Be sure and check out Lot 11, LMC Durango, who is a Goliath bull calf that has a great look and future ahead of him. The Goliath’s are good cattle, you should definitely give him a try.
The final bull in the lineup is the LMC LF Braveheart bull that is as reliable a bull as we have ever had. This LMC Johnnie Walker son is out of FG Bess, who will go down as one of the most productive Braunvieh cows of all time. She most notably is the mother to the WTR Baylee cow who raised several great ones for us out of numerous bulls. We have used him extensively due to his ability to produce cattle that compete and sell easily for us. Tristan Chapa has led a gorgeous daughter to several championships on his way to the TCCA Simbravieh title (see Lot 23). Dale Fritz, the Chris Davlin Family and many other progressive herds have Braveheart daughters in their herds. Dean Fuchs liked his Braveheart calves so much that he invested in half interest in him and is even more satisfied with his second round of calves. Be sure and check out some of those Braveheart baby dolls that are included in KF Livestock’s pick lot selling as Lot 23.
