Daughter of +Mr. V8 380/6 and out of the dam to JDH Lady Babette Manso 486/4!!!!
By now we hope that you realize the work, expense, and effort that has gone into creating these superior cattle. We have been in the Brahman & F-1 business for over 20 years and have realized that to make progress you have to breed the best to the best and that is what we have strived to do.
After we purchased the semen package (4 straws that are now depleted) on +Mr. V8 380/6 we went out in search of the best cows to purchase aspirations on to cross him with. You read above that we initially purchased the 380/6 semen to cross with Babette but to maximize our purchase we knew that we needed to add additional cows. Since we were working with Carol Hawksley on Babette we asked about Murile and she agreed that we could also purchase an aspiration.
We liked Murile due to her proven production of Babette, two other outstanding daughters, and having recently won a National and International Produce of Dam but more importantly her performance-oriented pedigree with her dam having been awarded Maternal Merit status. When the calves came we were as impressed with the 380 x Murile calves as any of the others so in the Spring of 2018 we went back to Mrs. Hawksley and purchased an additional aspiration which resulted into the three daughters selling in this sale.
Enough of the backstory! Ms. Bonchasse 514/0 is an outstanding female that has plenty of bone, is long, high volumed, and super eye appealing. She obviously comes from a popular and proven pedigree that combines one of the most recognized sires in the breed with a Register of Renown and proven dam of a National and International Champion. It should also be noted that 514/0 is backed by one of the most uniform performance profiles in the sale that charts positive for 11 of the 14 economically relevant traits measured by ABBA.
Study the potential of this young heifer as a show prospect but more importantly as a “cornerstone” to your program!
