In visiting with our good friends, Jason and Tammy Smith, we asked them what everybody around their home area called Jeff and they said Boss Man. Patron is Boss Man in Spanish. When asked about the name, they both loved it so in Jeff’s honor for his many contributions to his family, his community, the Brahman World and society, we named this great young bull JS Polled Patron.
We sold his first son to our ole buddy David Dillard from Georgia to use on his red cows. As you can see in the photos below, he is producing THE COWMAN'S KINDA CATTLE. The Patron's are soggy, functional cattle with lots of bone, muscle, pigment and breed character. Our Godson, Hondo Martinez just bought a great set of Polled Patron daughters from SRS as the foundation for his POLLED herd.
This is a stout made, deep bodied, correct bull that can work on both grey and red cattle with a great upside for semen sales. We sold ten units for $70 per unit in our LMC GenePLUS Sale VIII to. As more and more calves are produced, we look for this value to go up. We are providing 100 units (a $7,000 value) as an insurance policy for the new owner.
