Selling 100% possession, 50% breeding interest. One of our highest performing females born in 2015, Miss WCC Magda is powerful in both her design and genetic make up. If you loved the “Marisol” heifer from last year, her full sister “Magda” is equally if not more impressive and has the most desirable disposition!
We love “Magda” not only for her powerful design but powerful pedigree. “Magda” is out of the matriarch in our grey herd, Dream Ranch 305 (a 17 year donor). Dream Ranch 305 combines some of our favorite V8 and Tic Tac Toe Ranch genetics so it is only fitting “Magda” is one of our leading consignments to the Tic Tac Toe Ranch’s online sale. The Tic Tac Toe 419 cow was a top producer for Dream Ranch back in the 90’s, you can find breed greats like +TTT Suva Rambo 845 “Rambo” and +MN Red Mayro 257 in her pedigree. On the top side, the Dream Ranch cow is sired by Dream Boy “Navasota” 89/1 who is a sired by +Mr. V8 189/4 and out of the famous +Miss V8 423/4 (one of the maternal greats in the breed sired by +Mr. V8 666/3).
The sire of “Magda”, JDH San Antonio 881/4 was bred by Mark Forgason of J.D. Hudgins Inc. JDH San Antonio is a +JDH Elmo Manso 309/4 son and out of a +JDH Atlas Manso 328 daughter (our favorite cow in Mark’s herd). We’ve used this herd sire to produce outstanding outcrosses for our red program. We occasionally breed him grey to produce cattle with pigment that we can later use in our red herd.
If you are shopping show prospects this fall, look no further. This female has what it takes to develop into a tremendous female! The 50% breeding interest is for Watkins Cattle to IVF aspirate “Magda” once a year following her first calf, buyer will own all natural calves. Miss WCC Magda has been started on a show ration and will be gentled down, ready to halter break if the buyer choses to show her. Watkins Cattle would like to leave “Magda” on her recipient mother until mid-late October. Additionally, We recommend Tic Tac Toe Ranch for all your halter breaking and showing needs at a negotiated rate of $13/day.
