LMC Polled Rock is what everybody is looking for - a POLLED and PROVEN herd bull that can be counted on to produce top quality progeny consistently on different kinds of cows. Polled Rock won a tough class of young bull calves in Houston and was sold to Lonnie Tomerlin for his Simbravieh program. We saw his calves and bought him back. We plan to replace him with one of his sons born this year. It will be a tough choice as he has some really good looking sons on the cows right now.
AA 257/5 has been a very productive cow for us. She comes from a great cow family that includes 12 out of 14 Register of Renown cattle in her three generation pedigree headed up by her dam - Aaron Acevedo's many times champion +Miss V8 38/6 who was sired by the famous +MR V8 287/5 - "Superstroke" whose Gets won Houston five years in a row. 38/6 won the prestigious Houston Jr. Show and was Senior Champion in the open show.
38/6's dam was International Champion in 1997 and her maternal grand dam, the great V8 165/4 was the 1993 International Champion. V8 sold 1/2 of her for $100,000 to the San Rafael Ranch. Great herds are built around great cow families and this is one of the best in the Brahman business. We recently sold his dam to our ole buddy Joey Ledbetter from Mississippi as his foundation cow to start up his new Brahman herd.
His dam also produced another son by LMC WFF Polled Maestro that we sold Danny Davis that won his class in San Antonio. Kelly Barnard has an outstanding LMC WFF Polled Success daughter in his herd in Kansas. Perry Corder has a great LMC Poll Aussie daughter in his herd. His sire, LMC WFF Pistolero was our Foundation Sire and his legacy will live on forever with his sons and daughters.
