Donated By: LA MUNECA & ENGLAND CATTLE COMPANIES
For this history making event we are donating one of our very best in LMC ECC Polled Margaret 40/5. She is a DOUBLE POLLED BABY DOLL named after our friend Margaret Watkins, long time recording secretary of the ABBA. She was a great Brahman AMBASSADOR as are Dinah and Armelinda. She also bred some darn good grey and B&W cattle. She was a guest consignor at one of our production sales in the 80's. Her legacy lives on through the efforts of her grandson, Wade Watkins - Chairman of the ABBA Youth Activities Committee.
Mike and I went to visit our ole buddy Beto Salinas one day to possibly buy some polled heifers he had for sale. Beto gave me the dam to this baby doll as it was my birthday that day. Being that she was Mike's first choice and for his assistance during the drought, I gave him half of the heifer. In an effort to pass on Beto's generosity, we are proudly donating her first calf to this great cause. She is a very well balanced, moderate, smooth made, dark pigmented, feminine, halter broke heifer that represents our GOLDEN CROSS being sired by LMC Polled Authority (Ambassador son) and a LMC Poll Aussie (Pistolero son) daughter.
The Englands are building their elite POLLED herd around LMC Polled Authority daughters which are very uniform and competitive as proven recently by the Sellmans winning their division at the TJBA show with Polled Lolo. You should see the bull calf that Authority's dam has this year. LMC Poll Aussie has just weaned his first calf crop with Schneider Brahmans. They are very happy with them. Both of these sires are pictured and are some of the breed's very best POLLED Herd Sires.
She qualifies for all LMC and ECC junior benefits which include free semen from any of our available sires to AI this heifer until the junior that may buy her graduates from high school. A non junior buyer will get two units.
