Selling Full Interest and Full Possession
Talk about a striking show heifer prospect. J7N Evening Star is a black percentage Simbrah heifer out of one of our new donor cows, J7N What-A-Lady. Star is one of the most balanced looking heifers we have raised and will definitely be a competitor in the show ring. This attractively made, long bodied and structurally correct heifer presents an awesome phenotypically show prospect, not to mention her outstanding EPD’s. She tops the EPD scale on API (109.3) and TI (69.3) and is in the top 25% in WW and YW.
J7N What-A-Lady is Evening Star’s dam, is a fantastic percentage Simbrah that we own out of the SVF/NJC Built Right Simmental bull, which could arguably be the best Dream On son in the breed. To add to the genetic value of Evening Star, her maternal grand dam, J7N Tundra, is an SS Goldmine daughter. You will agree that this heifer is genetically stacked on the maternal side.
J7N Blackjack B26 is a percentage Simbrah and sire to this heifer. Blackjack is a LMC Knockout Muñeca 5M/9 son out of the fantastic EPD bull, CCR Cowboy Cut. Blackjack is a solid black, moderately sized junior herdsire that is as capacious as they come and big footed. This spring’s calf crop is his first and he is doing an amazing job for us. Watch for Blackjack calves in the future. J7N Evening Star is eligible to show at the Simbrah / Simmental Superbowl and all MAS events.
Two units semen from any of La Morra’s bulls will be made available for use on this heifer. La Morra Ranch is retaining an IVF Aspiration to collect a minimum of 6 transferable embryos. Collection will be the owner’s convenience and seller’s expense.
