Giving Back! Each consignor in this sale was very generous to donate an elite package that would generate some interest and ultimately benefit a great group of young people who love the Brahman breed. The donation of ERB Sir Charles exemplifies the generosity of the donors and comes with a neat story. When TBF was started the first fundraiser was a drawing of some items. The second ticket of the drawing was that of young Emilio Ramos. Emilio immediately knew what he wanted and selected JDH Lady Manso 136/1 who is the dam of ERB Sir Charles. In the spirit of giving back they have donated the first calf out of the heifer that they won from TBF. Not only does he come with a “feel good” story but this halterbroke 9 month old calf comes with a proven pedigree and is low birthweight making him useful to all sectors of the industry. The sire of Sir Charles was purchased from Louis Flores and is the result of the popular Mr. V8 279/7 and out of Louie’s top donor that has produced over 20 progeny. The bottom side to Sir Charles is of course JDH Lady Manso 136/1 who is an own daughter of the breed icon +JDH Charley’s Jazz and out of a former show heifer. You simply can’t assemble a more proven genetic package! We greatly appreciate the generosity of the Ramos’.
