What makes a great one? At JDH-Forgason Cattle Company our cattle are backed by generations of proven herd sires and productive cow families, and we feel JDH Lady Manso 69/1 “Miss 4 Pt.0” is a GREAT ONE! She represents the type of female we are known for world-wide. This female’s maternal cow look, bold rib shape, massive topline and powerful foot size is what cattlemen search the globe for to build herds around. This is a future donor and one of the greatest females to ever wear the “half circle L” and “f” brands.
Let’s take a moment to discuss her pedigree and what it means at JDH/FCC. She’s sired by a leading herdsire, JDH Mr Manso 779/4 who was a big time show bull who is now siring top cattle in our herd. He goes back to JDH Ranger De Manso, who’s a +JDH Madison 737 son and a +JDH Charley’s Jazz daughter. The “Charley’s Jazz” bred cattle are timeless and continue to influence the Brahman world year after year. On the bottom side, 69/1 is out of a tremendous young female at the ranch who is sired by +JDH Sir Shank Manso, a +JDH Lawford son. But pay special note, JDH Lady Manso 69/1 goes back to JDH Lady Manso 286/4, a +JDH Atlas daughter that was Reserve International Grand Champion as a calf and was a pivotal donor for JDH/FCC.
We could go on and on about JDH Lady Manso 69/1 “Miss 4 Pt. 0”. She represents every thing we stand for in the Brahman breed and we think she will have a lasting impact we can be proud of. It has been an honor and blessing to breed one like JDH Lady Manso 69/1.
FCC reserves 2 aspirations to be collected after 1st calf and at the convenience of the buyer.
