LMC LF Polled Sandman 44/8 is one of the cleanest sheathed and thickest Brahman bulls we have ever seen and on top of that he is POLLED/S. He has HERD BULL written all over him. His sire V8 733/7 (P) “Polled Phenom” is the product of two National Champions and is a classic JDH x V8 cross. He is also a full brother to the popular “Noble” bull whose semen has sold for as much as $25,000 per unit.
It is hard to clean up the underline on a bull and not lose bone, muscle and power. We call this our bone to sheath ratio. This bull is an outlier for this and can help lots of cows. The famous many times champion and world renown Elmo is his paternal grand sire and that combined with the totality of his maternal granddam is where he gets his power.
His dam was produced by Dyess Farms and shown by the Ron Hull Family from Oklahoma. She is sired by DF Sandman (Full sib to the National Champion DF Snowman), is out of a JDH Wellington Manso daughter and has a straight JDH pedigree. She is super long as you can see in her photo below, has another herd bull on her now and produced a Champion Purebred Steer for Pops before this bull. She has been a great investment for us and is the quality of cow that checks all of the boxes for what a progressive breeder looks for in the dam of their herd bull.
