When we purchased a 1/3 interest in LMC +S Polled Madonna for $35,000 in 2020 we knew that we had to duplicate the same mating that made her popular.  Madonna has produced 41 registered offspring with 25 of those resulting from crossing her with +LMC LF Polled Ambassador 700/7 one of the foundation polled sires in the breed who joined a short list of polled sires to reach the ABBA Register of Renown due to the show ring success of his progeny.  Some might question why a progressive operation such as ours would recreate an 8-year-old mating that was already established, and the answer is simple: IT STILL WORKS!!!  In the aspiration that created 13/1 we had 9 calves.  We sold the pick of those calves to Call Mosley for $16,000 and a show heifer to Bobby Bryan for $17,000 last summer validating the continued value of this mating.
We greatly appreciate the proven genetics that adorn the pedigree of Ms. Polled Sandglass 13/1 (P).  However, we see that she sets herself apart from her full siblings due to her phenotypic superiority.  Study the growth, circumference of bone, boldness of rib, square hip, muscle, length, and levelness that she offers.  One word that best describes 13/1 is POWERFUL!
