Howdy my name is Riley Hood and I am pictured with my market steer. He is classified as a Brahman cross and weighs 1405 lbs. One of my goals this year was to have him at a decent market weight by fair time. To achieve this I was able to experiment with different types of feed to find the right combination for the best rate of gain. Another goal was to have him completely halter broken. Through this my steers Brahman attitude was definitely the spotlight. I chose not to give him a name although when working with him my dad and I liked to call him “Cowboy” because he definitely has a mind of his own. Over the past year I have learned in areas of responsibility time management and dedication. I look forward to applying all that I learned this year in my future in this association.
