LMC Rhino is the 2011 International Champion Bull and was born on November 18, 2009. Rhino is sired by the Triple Crown Winner LM Full House and out of the capacious LMC Sambos Muneca 3K/41 cow. Rhino was also the 2011 Reserve National Champion Bull behind LMC Arcadio whose semen sells as Lot 30 in this same sale.
The LM Full House bull was a popular champion winning all three big Simbrah bull shows in San Antonio, Houston and the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show in Mercedes. Rhino's paternal grand sire is on a very short list of cattle that have won back-to-back International titles in Houston. Power House sons then went on to win International Champion the next 4 years in a row, along with 2 Reserve International titles as well. A dominant bloodline in the show ring, but most importantly these cattle have gone on to produce cattle that have had a lot of success in and out of the ring as well. If you study the lines of the Full House bull you can tell where Rhino gets his power, smoothness and breed character from. Rhino, Full House and Power House are all International Champion Bulls, which is an impressive feat to stack those International Champions consecutively the way Rhino does in his pedigree.
Rhino's dam was a moderate, deep bodied red baldy cow that was productive and always raised a fleshy calf. His dam always had one of the best udder's on the ranch. Rhino is the biggest ribbed bull we have ever seen in Simbrah, as you can tell from the photo he certainly got some of that from his mother. Rhino's maternal grand sire was a functional, solid red Simmental bull that raised us some good females that were productive and profitable. On the bottom side of 3K/41's pedigree you'll find the RA Brown bull we called Rob that sired many a keeper female for us and can be found in some of our most successful cattle's pedigree including the many times champion LMC Victor’s Mariah who is the dam to 12th Man (Lot 33) and Dream Up's (Lot 32) mother LMC Mariah's Dream "Delilah." 3K/41 features the great Hacks Fraulein cow that we love and is one of the most popular Fullblood Simmental cows of all time. She brings in some of the most elite Fleckvieh genetics and that certainly helps the performance end of this cow family. Rhino was a high performer himself.
The Rhino bull is a powerful individual with a lot of length and strength of top. He stands on a lot of bone and foot, is sound and perhaps what is most impressive about this bull is how clean he is in his sheath for as much base and power as he has. He has a good looking and masculine front end, has a wide chest and huge rear end. He is your typical LMC BUTTS, GUTS & NUTS model bull that we often promote. We have had a lot of success breeding this bull both through our in vitro fertilization (IVF)/embryo transplant (ET). His calves out of our famous LMC WFC Ms. Dream Girl cow are averaging nearly $17,000 a piece with another sib, LMC Gold Medal selling breeding shares for $3,500 a piece at one year of age. However, he is not only working with that cow, he has been working well with several other cows as well, as you will see in his progeny.
Rhino has really impressed us with his calves and as the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding. A Rhino granddaughter won Grand Champion at the Fort Worth Junior Simbrah Heifer Show for Mackenzie Groce. This bull was impressive in the flesh, has a proven track record and is backed by a championship pedigree on the top while being loaded with functional individuals on the bottom side. You can't go wrong here in the Rhino bull, try him, you’ll like him. This will be one of very last opportunities to buy Rhino semen as his inventory is very low.
