At La Muneca we halter break over 150 calves per year. We are blessed to have a great staff that know their business and get the job done very efficiently with the help of one of these halter breaking racks that we have been using for many years. Our good friend, neighbor and client Israel Sanchez is a first class welder and is very generous with his time when it comes to helping our 4-H and FFA members. Both he and his wife, Glenda are on our STAR GALA Committee which raises money for our STAR Premium Auction. STAR is our Hidalgo County Show open to Hidalgo County 4-H and FFA members.
This rack fits into your back hitch attachment and can be removed very easily. We normally pull anywhere from 2 to 5 calves at one time. It helps to train them how to lead as the calves have 4 wheel drive and we humans only have 2 wheel drive. You have to be careful and patient and preferably have some calves already trained to lead walking besides them the first few times. It is made out of heavy duty pipe and tubing and will be painted any color that you would like. It sells FOB La Muneca Ranch at Linn, TX. We deliver cattle to Wharton and Taylor on a regular basis and can get it delivered to there for free.
