BROOD COW PROSPECT ALERT! Sophia is sired by the popular and many times proven 2013 National Champion LMC Gold Medal and out of a gorgeous LMC Soldier daughter that Dr. Mark Jousan purchased half of in a previous LMC GenePLUS Online Sale. What a package here as Sophia is a capacious, eye appealing and well-balanced prospect that would make a sound addition to any Simbrah show string or operation. She is loaded with predictability and her functional build is what we strive to produce here at LMC.
Both LMC Soldier and LMC Gold Medal are former Reserve International Champion Simbrah bulls as well that bring plenty to the table in terms of pedigree clout, performance and profitability. We sold LMC Soldier shortly after his show career ended to our good friend Hernando Guerra. While LMC Gold Medal females have won numerous titles including Junior Nationals in 2016, Houston and the State Fair in 2017, Fort Worth, both Grand and Reserve in San Antonio, as well as both the Junior and Open Shows in Mercedes in 2018 and finally the Mercedes Junior Show and Reserve Grand at the TJSSA Futurity in 2019 thus far among several other championships.
Sophia has been in our barn for a few weeks and has a good disposition. She reminds us a lot of the popular LMC Titans Muneca “Sophie” 5H/367 cow that Anne Baring led to several titles in 2000 – 2001. Our junior program offers several incentives, including being co-founders and sponsors to the Simbrah-Simmental Superbowl, as well as eligibility for the LMC Futurity held annually the first week of October at the conclusion of the LMC Field Day and much more.
