One of the best cows produced at La Morra Ranch is J7N Excellencia, who is a daughter of our premier DONOR cow, LMC Knockout Muneca 5/M9 and BCC Boomerang. Excellencia had a great show career with Dario Salinas at the helm. Excellencia was the January Class winner in the 2011 Simbrah / Simmental Superbowl and later in 2012, she was Senior Calf Champion at the Rio Grande Valley Stock Show.
We put Excellencia into our donor pool and on her first flush, we mated her with LMC HS Rocco and the mating was AWESOME. All of the calves produced from this mating were consistent in their design, big ribbed, big butts and stout. In fact, Lot 18 is one of the heifers produced from that mating. We believe that the mating of Excellencia to JW Black will produce calves that will be just as good as the Rocco heifers, being that Rocco is a JW Black son.
