Gracie is a product of a frozen embryo purchase at The International Sale in Houston, Texas consigned by fellow Simbrah breeders Bruce Van Meter of Georgia and Jay Anderson of Nebraska. We appreciate them sharing these genetics that yielded us this heifer calf and a full brother that Carlos X. Guerra III purchased for a show steer. These cattle excel in natural thickness, eye appeal and pedigree clout. This is a rare mating featuring the 2011 International Champion and big-time producer LMC Rhino, as well as the dam to the legendary LMC EF JW Black bull.
Gracie’s paternal grandsire is the Triple Crown Winner, LM Full House who was selected Grand Champion Bull in San Antonio, at the International Show in Houston and the Rio Grande Valley Livestock show in Mercedes, Texas. The bottom side of this pedigree is chalked full of some productive individuals, including a touch of Fleckvieh Simmental in the famous Hacks Fraulein cow, as well as some Great Guns Ferdinand. Gracie carries RAB Polled Redeye “Rob” on the top and bottom side of her paternal pedigree; he sired the likes of LM Rob’s Muneca 3E/89, LMC Victor’s Mariah and many more productive individuals. Add the style of one of the few back to back International Champions in HR Power House I and you can see where Gracie gets her powerful good build.
The influence of the JW Black bull on our program and the Simbrah breed cannot be overstated. This herd bull, who passed on too young, produced the likes of the 2009 Reserve National Champion LMC ATZ Dr. Feel Good, 2014 International Champion Bull Hagan’s Arapahoe and the popular LMC Miss Diva donor that is the dam to the famous LMC WFC Ms. Dream Girl donor. You can find JW Black in a number of popular pedigrees in the breed and we recently produced some embryos out of our upcoming donor LMC Lucky Charm sired by JW Black.
