This young Karu female reminds us a lot of this year’s 2011 Reserve International Champion Female. She should, because she is a full flush mate to Adrian Land’s Miss V8 137/7, the Houston winner.

Bred in the purple, both parents are past International Champions and she has 2 full brothers and a full sister in the current show string.  They are all impressive and good!

The maternal grand dam, $Miss V8 910/4, is one of the breeds’ few Vanguard cows and has produced 12 replacement females for the ranch with 8 being donor cows.  See the footnotes on females 696/6, 324/7 and 387/7 – they all are descendants of $Miss V8 910/4. We could get carried away writing footnotes on the females behind this family of Brahman cows and write an entire page. There is a lot of genetic predictability in this one’s pedigree and she has powerful growth EPD’s to match her muscle and thickness.
