Grade 9 - BROILERS - Hi my name is Erica Galvez I started showing poultry in 6th grade and I am currently in 9th. I have been showing for 3 years I am also a part of 4-H. The project that I chose for the Robertson County Fair is poultry. As I was working with my broilers I learned things such as having to maintain a comfortable temperature check on them regularly stir the shavings around and how to manage the feeding program. I’ve had to be patient and use better time management while taking care of them. When I checked on the chickens I made sure they had fresh water regularly I also did the same with the feed I did not wait until everything was consumed. This experience has broadened my educational journey and taught me how to be more responsible in my everyday life.
