Pick of the 6G Calf Crop of 20+ calves !
We are offering the pick of our Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 calf crop! We have never offered the pick of the entire calf crop; however, we are opening the gates to the ranch this year for the buyer to pick from our entire calf crop! If you are looking for a potential herd sire, show heifer or cornerstone breeding piece, you have the opportunity to have first shot at our herd. This year’s calf crop at sale time is all on the ground, and like years before, there are some great prospects beginning to round into shape of all ages!
The majority of the calves are sired by the National Champion LMC Gold Medal; however, we have a couple October born ¾ x ¼ heifers out of Hooks Pacesetter and a handful of percentage cattle out of our new black Simmental herd sire. This crop due to LMC Gold Medal is heavily influenced by LMC Dream Girl and LMC Rhino, two breed changers! Last year’s crop mainly featuring LMC Red Rock and LMC Justice progeny, produced 6G Golden Boy who is now owned by Graceann Mullins. 6G Golden Boy was shown to Grand Champion Bull honors at the Fort Worth Livestock Show, and Reserve Champion Bull at both the San Antonio Livestock Show and Houston Livestock Show!
Fred’s grandson Robert Stavinoha just won the prestigious Houston Jr. Simbrah show with a home grown LMC Gold Medal daughter that is a maternal sib to most of our calf crop. Look for the next champion in this selection of our calf crop! If a female is selected, 6G Ranch will offer 2 units of semen on any of the bulls in our tank for breeding the first time. Buyer must make selection by May 1st, 2017!
