2nd Pick of Litter of Dream Girl x Rhinos
Consigners: 6G, BETM, Louie Flores, La Muneca
We want to thank all those who showed interest and bid on the first pick of this deep litter of heifer calves, we especially want to thank the Dr. Marty Tanner Family of Tanner Livestock once again for purchasing the first pick. These heifer calves have developed nicely and we are excited about how well they are shaping up. We have been blessed with some good rain and these calves are under great care by Louie Flores and his crew.
Initially there were 6 calves in this litter, but unfortunately we lost the 5B/107 heifer to lightning during a recent storm. The litter remains strong however and there are several options for the showman and cowman alike. The sire is the 2011 International Champion and Reserve National Champion bull, LMC Rhino. His sire LM Full House won the Triple Crown and is out of the famous LM Rob’s Muneca 3E/89 donor that has over 90 calves registered to her name. LMC Rhino is arguably the most bold sprung herd bulls we have ever raised here at La Muneca and has done us a great job in his first two calf crops by consistently raising thick, long bodied cattle that have sold with ease. LMC Rhino sired the Reserve Champion Steer at the MAS Showdown for Yulissa Santana and numerous other champions.
The LMC WFC Ms. Dream Girl cow was one of the most dominant Simbrah show heifers of all time and offers one of the best bloodlines in the breed with elite names such as LMC EF JW Black, Smith Nu Wave II and LMC Miss Diva. We often hear others that are excited about their best ones compare them to Dream Girl and that certainly is flattering. Most importantly however, Dream Girl progeny are working as well with the likes of LMC Sweet Dreams, LMC Gold Medal and Lot 6 LMC WFC 6G Dreamer producing great calves and generating revenue at young ages. We have 25 calves by Dream Girl and 7 different sires this year and there is not a cull in the bunch. We still believe Dream Girl is the best cow in the breed and plan on flushing her extensively again utilizing IVF and some of the best bulls in the Brahman, Simbrah and Simmental breed in an effort to create new blood and improve the breed.
There are several positives in buying into this bloodline, besides the production offered by the pedigree you have built in promotion with these heifer calves being full sibs to LMC Daydream, LMC Redream and LMC Gold Medal. The Daydream heifer sold for $15,000 to Micah Perkins and Will Scogin and went on to win the $3,000 at the MAS Showdown, Reserve Champion at the Houston Jr. Show and several other championships for Micah. LMC Redream topped the LMC $ellabration Sale selling for a modern day record $41,000 at public auction for an open heifer and going on to win the LMC Futurity, Reserve at the Heart of Texas and Reserve at the LMC $ellabration as well for Dawson Raub. Finally, LMC Gold Medal who was the 2013 International Champion, 2013 and 2014 Reserve National Champion Bull and sold two breeding shares for $3,500 a piece to Britt Larson and Jay Anderson at a year of age. There are two LMC Gold Medal calf on the ground and they look great.
To talk the heifers a bit, the 5B/97 heifer is a powerful black heifer with some white on her head and body. She has a big top, square rump and plenty of length of body. The 5B/100 heifer is a clean made, feminine light red heifer with a clean and extended front end. The 5B/106 heifer is a solid black, powerhouse with a stout structure yet still retains a lot of look and could be the best donor prospect of the litter. Finally, the 5B/135 heifer is the only April heifer and a sure enough great one. This black April heifer has some white on her head and body and is a well balanced, eye appealing heifer that should be a dual threat as a major league show heifer and donor. There is something for everyone in this litter and we believe the potential pick could be just as good as the initial pick, it will come down to who gets their homework done at home whether it concern showing and/or flushing. Don’t miss out on this premiere bloodline with built in promotion and lots of performance.
This female is eligible for the LMC Jr. Program which includes 2 free units of semen per year until you graduate to breed her to, added premium shows like the LMC $ellabration and LMC Futurity, as well as several other benefits. If a breeder buys this lot, they will receive 2 free units of semen on any available LMC bull including LMC ATZ Dr. Feel Good, 6G/LMC Rajin Cajun and 6GLMC Pappadeaux to breed her to.
The Dream Girl Group reserves one flush with a guarantee of 6 embryos and 2 pregnancies done at sellers’ expense and buyer’s convenience, otherwise selling full interest and full possession.
