Queen Sugar took some begging to get in the sale. Everyone that knows Mary Margaret Smith knows she falls for the good ones as she has had her share of those in her short young show career. This heifer’s dam was one of those as she was selected as Grand Champion Charolais Female at the SC State Fair Open Show and also received 3 Supreme Champion honors in her show career. Her granddam was Mary Margaret’s first show heifer and she also had a tremendous career winning the SC State Fair and many other shows across the southeast. This heifer is destined to follow in their footsteps being sired by Assertion, better known as Gunsmoke. Gunsmoke has sired numerous champions the last few years in the Charolais and Charolais Composite National shows. Queen is deep sided with a smooth shoulder and her neck lies in so nicely at the top of her shoulders. She is so clean made and sound she will find her way to the top.
