Grade 4 - TURKEYS - My name is Troy Nelson I am in 4th grade. I am also in Franklin 4H. I show turkeys. While I was taking care of my turkeys I learned if you wouldn’t drink of eat it they shouldn’t drink or eat it. My brother and my sister change the shavings every week. We check to see if they are bleeding. We also check the feeders and waters. We also use electrolytes 3 days before the show. This is my 2nd year showing turkeys. We got the turkeys on November 13th. My sister and brother and me always take, care of out turkeys since days one till the very end. We built 3 coops I for the injured or the culled turkeys. As a family we help each other out that’s a huge advantage, if one of us is not at home someone else will take care of them.
