Grade 8 - TURKEYS - My name is Ryan Nelson. I go to Franklin Middle School and I am in the 8th grade. I have an animal projects. My animal project is Turkey’s. I work with the Turkey’s everyday. While we raised the turkeys we learned how to process the culled turkeys. My brother sister and I all know how to process the them. We read a “textbook” and followed it almost word for word. We take turns cleaning the feeders and waters. Most people use sand, but since we use shavings we have to change them every other week. The main things we learned from this project is how to properly care for an animal and how to process animals to supply our own food.
