J7N Hudson H16 is a light red, solid framed and structurally correct bull calf, with impressively solid genetics. Let’s see where to start on this guy’s genetics. First of all, he is sired by J7N Capt. Morgan so on this family tree line you have LMC EF JW Black, Dr. Feel Good, Hagan Red Blaze. Hudson’s dam is J7N Calypso Rose which is sired by LMC Rhino so you have LMC Full House in the mix as well as J7N What-A-Lady, sired by the fabulous Built Right simmy bull as well as having SS Goldmine on the maternal bottom side. As we say is in Spanish, “Puro Heavy Hitters”.
Just like the other paternal brothers in the sale, you can’t go wrong with this young calf. He’s got just as much muscling as the others but a tick more bone on his hind legs. Hudson is structurally correct with a fabulous flat hip and he’s as clean fronted as his paternal brothers.
J7N Hudson’s dam is J7N Calypso Rose, full sister to Clay Smith’s J7N Calypso Jewel who was Reserve Grand Champion Heifer at the 2016 Rio Grand Valley Show. Hudson’s Maternal Grand Dam is one of our most prolific donors’ J7N What-A-Lady which has produced 18 calves for us and just about all of them have either been sold or are keepers here at La Morra. Calypso Rose is sired by the Champion LMC Rhino bull.
Hudson’s sire is J7N Capt. Morgan, truly a beef machine which is producing outstanding calves for us. Capt. Morgan is a LMC ATZ Dr. Feel Good son, out of our 2013 National Percentage Champion heifer, Hagan Red Blaze (Darcy), a complete combination of style and power with this mating.
