This bull is probably one of our best kept secrets. He was a very popular show-winning bull but ultimately got beat by his stall mate Mr. V8 463/6 at the National Show for National Champion. He was bought by Windy Hill Ranch as a herd sire and went straight to work for them, so very little semen was collected. As his calves started hitting the ground, they were awesome, but 442 died at an early age. Immediately after 442’s untimely death, we stopped all semen sales. We do not offer semen on this bull internationally or domestically. We have never offered his semen in the internet sale because it was in such rare supply. In fact, after he died, Luann started going back through our semen sales records and trying to buy his semen back from those who had bought it from us (she’s a hoarder J).

442 is a powerhouse performer. He is currently a trait leader for weaning weight and should be a trait leader for yearling weight as his accuracy builds up. He is the sire of Mr. V8 259/7, our little beef machine who was Calf Champion at the 2012 National Show and Reserve Intermediate Champion at Houston in 2013. Heritage Cattle also had a National and International Class Winner and Division Champion sired by 442/6 that had tremendous performance and actual weight at HLS&R.

His dam is a daughter of +Miss V8 188/5 a great donor who has produced 2 International Champion Females. We could write a page about her offspring. The dam is a full sister to +Miss V8 464/4 who was Grand Champion at World Brahman Congress. 442 is a long-bodied, clean sheathed beef machine. He is masculine, structurally correct, and has a huge top and hump. He breeds tremendous eye appeal and American Brahman breed character
