Grade 6 - GOATS - Howdy! My name is Logan Liere and I am 11 years old. I attend Franklin Middle School and have been showing goats for the Robertson County Fair for 4 years. This year my goat’s name is Apache. Apache and I have spent many hours preparing for this year’s show. My brother Tyler and I would exercise our goats in the field next to our house but those goats refused to run. We tried pulling them with our ATV chasing them in the field but they would just stand there and watch us. Then one day I just took off running thru the field and guess what they chased us! So that’s how our exercise program began (for both the goats and us). Even though this is my 4th year raising and showing goats I have learned that things don’t always go as planned! This was the year that I planned to show my awesome goat and hopefully walk away with a Grand Champion belt buckle (or at least beat my brother). Well life threw in a curve and I missed that opportunity. However thanks to the RCFA and all of the hard work they have put in to making sure this sale happens I haven’t struck out yet.
