Grade 9 - GOATS - My name is Kielee Griffin and I am an active member of Franklin 4H where I serve as vice president. I attend school at Franklin High School and participate in many extracurricular activities. I love showing goats because it gives me the opportunity to provide good quality animals for the people who buy my goats. From showing goats I have learned to never give up have confidence and try my best in the ring. Win or lose I know I worked my hardest to try and do the best I could. Hot or cold Sunny or rainy I’m outside every afternoon trying to better myself as well as my goats. I work very hard year-round to produce the healthiest goats possible. This is my goat Duke I planned to show Duke at the Robertson County Fair this year and compete against many other great showmen. Duke and I had a good shot at placing high and hopefully making a run for grand champion but sadly the show was cancelled. Hopefully Duke and I have the chance to participate at some jackpot shows but until then we will both continue to get better every day. Any funds that are earned from showing goats will all go towards buying another goat for next year as well as my college funds. I plan to attend college at Texas A&M University where I want to major in veterinary medicine. Showing goats is my passion and watching all of my hard work pay off in the end is one of the best parts. Thank you for all your support.
