Grade 12 - BROILERS - My name is Anneliese?Taylor?and I am a senior at Mumford High School. In the Robertson County Show I show broiler chickens. During my five years of raising show broiler chickens I have learned responsibility and determination. Raising chickens has taught me responsibility because I had to get up every morning every day to feed water and occasionally clean out the pens of my animals. In addition to responsibility I became determined to gain more knowledge. My first year of showing poultry I did not fully comprehend what to look for in a broiler and neither did my family. But as the years went on I began to observe what the judges sought from a chicken. I continued the path of poultry for the rest of my high school years determined to win and learn more about chickens and other animals.?
