5P Balia 659 is one of the most prolific Red Brahman sires of all times. He was rich in bone, muscle and breed character which he inherited from the Indu Brazil in his heritage. His cattle were very competitive back in the day when the reds and greys showed together. When we first brought out his progeny they won three ABBA shows in a row with several reserves and got him in the Register of Renown quickly. In a class of 80 in San Antonio one day, Emily Dial placed 5 different 659 daughters 2-6.
The CONSUMER DEMAND for 659 semen and progeny was always hot. We sold several 1/10th semen interests for $50,000 and lots of semen to South Africa. His semen sales were over $500,000. His daughters were great cows. We sold a weanling bull calf out of Bravo and a Champion 659 daughter to Santa Elena in our Best of Bravo Sale that went on to win Houston and sire them lots of good functional cattle. He also worked very well in helping to grow the Simbrah breed by producing some excellent F-1 and 1/4 x 3/4 % SImbrahs.

100% of the proceeds will go to the La Muneca & Friends ANIMO Award that will be awarded every year at the AJBA All American Banquet to a unique AJBA member of any age that possesses what ANIMO stands for - spirit, commitment, desire, energy, passion, leadership and volunteerism. It will be a $1,000 award with the recipient being selected by the ABBA Youth Activities Committee Chairman, ABBA President, All American Coordinator, ABBA Executive Vice President and a Guerra Family Member. The funds will be managed by the AJBA.
