Grade 8 - LAMBS - My name is Jace Slafka and I am 14 years old. This year my project was raising a market lamb. I have now been showing lambs for 6 years and every year is a new learning experience. There are always challenges and rewards with each new project. This year my lamb wanted to butt me every time I worked with him. I worked with him every day when I got home from school to encourage him to stop this behavior. On the weekends I would work with him and we were able to work together with no problems. The reward for me was being able to overcome this difficulty. He taught me that I must continue to work toward my goal without giving up and in the end it will all pay off. I am already looking forward to next year’s project. Thank you for your time and consideration during this year’s difficult time.
