LMC Polled Amigo 53/9 has always been one of our favorites because of how stout he is built. He is a classic LMC Golden Cross. His dam Polled Evita is one of our best cows and is out of Pistolero and another of the original cows we bought from our Ole Buddy Glen Koelemay. One of our best Ambassador daughters is out of Evita. 53/9 ranked 10th overall on the test.
He ranked 2nd in Scrotal, 4th in Marbling and 9th in Avg. Daily Gain. On his ABBA EPD’s, he ranks in the top 6% for Marbling, top 21% for Scrotal and top 45% for BW. His dam as you can see below is a moderate, deep bodied, good looking cow with a good udder that has been one of our better cows. Some people think that Brahman cattle are getting too big and blame the show ring when we can only blame ourselves. This is the kind of bull that will keep your cattle in the middle of the road which is what our Commercial Bull Buyers want us to produce – cattle that will work in the real world.
This bull is Double Polled because both parents are Polled but it looks like he is either going to be Polled/Scurred or Horned. He is registered as horned.
THANK YOU to all who have signed up to bid. If you do not get a bull bought, we have some younger ones at home for you to look at plus a great set on the Rio Grande Valley Beef Improvement Association Bull Test at Rio Beef Feed Yards here in the Rio Grande Valley. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
