Danica joins a set of stellar keeper quality Simbrah females backed by a top-notch pedigree. Danica is yet another keeping kind of LMC Gold Medal daughter out of a LMC Titan daughter. Titan was an exciting, solid red Simmental bull that sired several good cattle for us, including Anne Baring’s many times champion, LMC Titan’s Muneca “Sophie” donor and the LMC Titan’s Muneca 5H/144 who produced 71 Grade A embryos in one flush, a record for our then long time embryologist Dr. Boyd Bien.
Danica is a feminine yet powerful female that features a cleaner made design in a sound package. She catches our eye from the profile and strides out on a sound set of feet and legs. When you get behind her, she is wide based, with a bold spring of rib and is smooth in her shoulder blades. Both her sire and dam are well made cattle that combined here to make a very functional female. Her dam is a solid, dark red cow that excels in balance and eye appeal. With Gold Medal you bring in two International Champions in LMC Rhino and LMC WFC Ms. Dream Girl, which are currently two of our most profitable cow families. A Rhino daughter was Grand Champion at both the highly coveted San Antonio and Houston Junior Shows in 2015 for Mia Barba.
Danica is eligible for our La Muneca Junior Program, which is one of the most supportive in the country. In February, we sponsor the Super Bowl at the San Antonio Jr. Show, which we co-founded, in March, we are sponsors of MAS which holds a showmanship contest at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show. Also in March, we host the LMC Jackpot and LMC $ellabration here at the ranch. In June, the MAS Showdown is held in conjunction with the American Junior Simbrah Roundup, which we had a big hand in creating. In October, we have our annual South Texas Junior Roundup (“LMC Field Day”) which is a fun-filled educational day that is topped off by the LMC Futurity which is composed of half of raffle ticket sales that the kids sell (the other half of the ticket sales goes directly back to the junior which sells the ticket). Juniors also have the opportunity to consign their show heifer at the conclusion of their heifer’s show career in the next online sale that we have available. We also provide two units of semen to breed their heifer to until they graduate from high school.
If a breeder buys Danica, they will receive two units of semen on any available bull in the LMC Herd Bull Battery to breed her to.
