We appreciate the Guerra Family inviting BBS Simbrah to again be part of the Giving Thanks Sale. We are excited to be able to continue to build the scholarship fund in honor of our parents, Kenneth and Mildred by offering the pick of our 2022 Fall calf crop. Our parents worked hard to make a go of it in agriculture and they "encouraged" us to do the same. At the same time, they were supportive of our decision to go to college, even though neither of them had that opportunity. Likewise, when their grandkids became involved in stock shows, sporting events and such, they would make every effort to be there.
We are grateful to our parents for all that they have done for our family and our operation; it is a privilege to continue this scholarship in their honor. As I write this in November, our fall calf crop is looking very promising. Herd sires include Manziel and Staubach, two great bulls sired by Rajin Cajun and out of the famous Jennie Walker donor. Also, Sure Shot, a 3/4 bull out of Jennie Walker sired by Long Steel Shot, All Rise who is out of Pioneer Woman and sired by Mr. HOC Broker that is a thick solid black bull doing an excellent job for us.
Since the early 1980’s when we started breeding Simbrah cattle we have stressed that our females have good dispositions, milking ability, be early maturing, and structurally sound. Any bulls kept for breeding purposes must have that good disposition, be structurally correct and early maturing as well. We encourage you to consider this lot for your next show heifer or herd bull as you will not be disappointed!
We are proud to have bred the famous BBS Jennie Walker female which won the 2009 San Antonio Junior Show for our own Kayla Korsekwa. We partnered with La Muneca on her and have produced and sold 90+ calves out of her sired by four different breeds of bulls with all selling for a good premium. We take pride in being No Nonsense Cowmen that produce some of the best Simbrah cattle ever made like Jennie Walker.
Victor has seen the calves and says it will be a tough to pick as the quality is deep once again. A BIG HEARTY THANKS to the Tracy Wright Family for purchasing last year’s lot and best wishes to Hannah with your BBS baby doll.
