How do you even start describing LMC HMC Polled Foxy 157/7 (PP)?? First, she is HOMOZYGOUS POLLED meaning that 100% of her calves will be POLLED even when bred to a horned bull! This heavy structured, huge bodied, heavy muscled, long, and level made female was shown successfully by Beth Quintanilla. The ONLY reason that this female is being sold is Beth has gone to college and there is no longer a need for her family to raise show animals so ALL of their cattle are selling in this sale. As you look at the supplement photos you realize that 157/7 was a part of a successful flush that created show winners and influential donors for several progressive operations. The sire to Foxy is +Mr. V8 279/7 who is one of the most widely used polled sires around the world. +Mr. V8 279/9 is sired by the National Champion and breed influencer +JDH Mr. Elmo Manso and out of Miss V8 510/6 who also produced Mr. V8 794/7 and Miss V8 100/6 (National Champion & dam to +Mr. V8 458/7 “Noble”). The dam to Foxy would have to be considered as one of the most influential polled cows in the breed with 18 registered progeny to include show winners, donor dams, and a daughter selected by Jim Williams to be added to the V8 Ranch herd. Several interest parties have asked about the calving & flush history of Foxy. She first had a bull calf that was not registered by The Quintanilla Family due to not having a market for him. Foxy then calved twice more while living at La Muneca Cattle Co. where she currently resides but was in the South Texas brush and did not have a calf with her when the pasture was cleaned and calves weaned. 157/7 currently is bred 6 months to either Mr. V8 733/7 #934072 or LMC Polled Sambo 45/0 #892788 with the determination being made on the calving date. Foxy has NEVER been aspirated or flushed!
Note: The cattle being sold by The Quintanilla Family are being sold as a complete dispersal with no further guarantees. Each animal sells with two straws of semen from any available bull owned by La Muneca Cattle Co. This semen is to be used in AI with a maximum of one AI certificate released per straw at the time of registration.
