The following is a summary of our pre-sale consignment information up to Monday at noon.  Thanks again for your promotion of our sale program.

   As of Monday, Jan. 20 at noon we have in the range of 450 - 475 consigned for the sale on Friday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. There is a likelihood that our sale numbers will reach 600+ by sale date.  Presently the offering consists almost 100% of calves and the quality level is excellent.  The majority of the calves have been weaned for a significant period of time and almost all of the heifers are being guaranteed to be open.  The predominant breeds represented are Char, CharX, and B. Angus and B. AngusX with some representation from a few other breeds.

   The vast majority of the cattle have been vaccinated with live vaccine with added value features including vaccinations for blackleg, Pasteurella, Somnus and parasite control.

 

                                FEATURE ONE-OWNER LOTS

[i]50 - 55 B. Ang [approx 50/50 h./st] in the 600 -700 lb. weight range - vaccinated with 5-way live + Pasteurella, blackleg and parasite control on Nov. 15 and boosted blackleg on Dec. 7 -born mostly in Apr.- May and Age Verified - high performance tested sires have been used for many years -neck vaccinated, heifers guaranteed to be open and steers castrated surgically- weaned Nov. 15

no implants- cowherd is vaccinated fed dry hay and 15% Vintage pellets

[ii]39 CharX [14 heifers, 25 steers] calves in the 650 - 750 lb. weight range -live 5-way vaccineand parasite control on Nov. 26 - born Mar.1 - May 1- neck vaccinated, heifers guaranteed open, and steers banded at birth- weaned Nov. 1 - live vaccinated cowherd - fed 2nd cut hay, corn silage and 3lb. of 13% pellets 

[iii]36 B. AngusX [12 heifers, 24 steers] calves in the 650 - 700 lb. weight range-

live 5-way live vaccine on July 1 and boosted Dec. 7 - blackleg May 15 and July 1

and parasite control Dec. 7- Age verified [born Mar. 15 - Apr.] - neck vacc, heifers guaranteed open and steers banded at birth- weaned Nov. 15 - live vaccinated cowherd - fed free choice balage, 2nd cut hay and 13% pellets

[iv]35 CharX heifers and steers in the 600 - 700 lb weight range- Live 5-way and parasite control in August and again in December-from vaccinated cowherd neck vaccinated, heifers guaranteed open and steers banded - fed wrapped hay and 15% Vintage pellets as creep

[v]32 CharX [14 heifers, 18 steers] calves in 500 - 800+ lb weight range -live 5-way vaccine and parasite control on Nov 30 and blackleg vaccination in May - neck vaccinated, heifers guaranteed open [given estrumate] and steers castrated surgically - weaned in October -fed dry hay and 15% Vintage pellets

[vi]Approx 30 CharX heifers and steers in 500 - 700 lb. weight range- specifics not known at present but they will be live vaccinated and weaned and will be a fancy group of calves
