Bar 5 Online Sale
This year we are offering our selection of the top bulls born from Dec 2012 to March 2013.
They are on line and offered on a first come first serve basis at the listed price. If a bull is not sold for the listed price before March 1st, the best offer will be accepted at that date. The prices have been calculated with discounts for the money we are saving by selling this way.
The bulls are on display at Bar 5. Everyone is welcome to visit and view the bulls at our Open House Sat., February 8, 11:00 a.m.

The bulls are shown with their BIO data taken at the end of Test. All bulls have been semen tested, evaluation certificates available. Contact us early, don’t be disappointed!

Terms & Conditions Animals sell under the standard terms of the Canadian Simmental Association.
Insurance Bar 5 Simmental Farms recommends animals bought at the sale are insured after purchase with your current insurance company as each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
“DNA” Parent Verification We DNA all of our animals so every bull and heifer has its Dam and Sire DNA’D. We have collected hair on every Bar 5 bull and heifer through the Test Station, for future DNA Marker or DNA recordation.
BULLS CAN STAY Bulls can be shipped immediately upon purchase or as of March 1. If you aren’t ready for your bull right away that’s fine – we will keep him here until May 1, free and then $5.00 per day.
Transportation – Bar 5 will arrange for trucking to your farm or a central point; the following normal charges will apply unless the buyer wishes to take care of shipping themselves:
Local $50, Ottawa Valley $150, Quebec $200, Maritimes $250, Manitoba $200, Saskatchewan & Alberta $250, and U.S.A. $300 plus Export fees.
Close Out Process
All In - All Done Sale
This Sale will feature the Cattle In Motion All In - All Done Sale Close Out Format.
With this close out, as the time counts down No Bidding can happen within 5 minutes of the close of ALL Lots. So if the Lots are set to close at 5PM and with four minutes left (4:56PM), some one bids on lot 4, then enough time is added back to the clock to allow ALL lots to have 5 minutes (new close time is 5:01PM on ALL Lots), and the countdown resumes. Then if someone bids on Lot 8 at 4:59PM, then ALL lots are extended until 5:04PM. this process will go on until no one bids for a period of 5 minutes on ANY Lot.
